Ambabgh Stepwell Dinner

Some moments tend to stay with you for the rest of your life. The dinner at the step well at Rawla Narlai is one such experience. Taste the flavor of true Rajasthani royal hospitality at the 16th century old Baori (step-well) of Rawla Narlai. The evening begins when you gather outside the temple at the courtyard (around 19:00) and sip a welcome drink with the resident royal who will regale you with enchanting stories and the rich history of the locals. In true Rajasthani style, get adorned with turbans and scarves and hop on to bullock carts arranged especially for the evening. Guided by a local into the dusk, swaying to the movement of the cart, watch the village slowly turning in for the night and the starlit sky unfolding above you, pass the yogi who meditates by the blazing fire and you will reach your destination lit by over 700 candles and oil lamps. A culinary journey awaits guests that ignite the taste buds with elaborate fare offered over the next couple of hours. The traditional Rajasthani Thali served depicts a brilliant play of gourmet preparations. A local jogi crooning devotional folk songs in his rich melodious voice entertains all as the evening progresses. The return to the hotel is organized by our jeeps and an offering of a calming herbal tea before turning in for the night.

Leopard sighting

The rugged Godwad countryside around Narlai suits the leopards and over a period the number has increased. Experience the thrill of customized ride on hotel jeeps for a sighting of this beautiful and graceful cat. Not easy to spot as they blend very well into the background, these cats can sometimes be seen sunning themselves on the rocks or resting under the shade of a tree. Unlike the lions, leopards do not stay in a pride and are solitary by nature and have large territories that they roam in. But sometimes they can be spotted in pairs. It is a very exciting activity that Rawla Narlai offers
