Bicycle tour (colors & Fragrances)

Giving a local passé to the Indian traditional market, on the who’s & how’s of the local goldsmith’s, cobblers, bamboo crafters, vendors, fragrance & colour of traditional Vegetables & spice market etc….a unique tour in itself. The bazaars of Udaipur offer perhaps the most memorable shopping experience, although interestingly target the locals, rather than tourists. A number of bazaars spread outwards from the actual clock tower, on the eastern side of the Gangaur Ghat. Those shopping for either gold or silver jewellery will find that Udaipur's popular Bara Bazaar is the place to come, also being well known for its extensive selection of fabrics and beautifully worked saris.Further silverware is sold at the Battiyanni Bazaar, while the Mochiwada Bazaar is perfect to those shopping for traditionally made shoes. Also in Udaipur is the Mandi Market, where the smell of freshly ground spices fills the air.

Miniature painting workshop

Appreciate a miniature painting workshop from some of the city's local artists. The art of Miniature painting was introduced by the Mughals, who brought the much-revealed art form from Persia.Traditionally these paintings are aristocratic, individualistic and strong in portraiture enriched with the depiction of plush court scenes and hunting expeditions of royalty. Flowers and animals are also the recurrent images in the paintings The miniature artists use paper, ivory panels, wooden tablets, leather, marble, cloth and walls for their paintings. The colours are made from minerals and vegetables, precious stones, as well as pure silver and gold. The preparing and mixing of colour is an elaborate process. Join the artist, whose skilled and experienced hands work their magic even on old, used government stamp papers, and discover an artistic tradition that goes back hundreds of years.
